SP Legal Ltd requires a Claims Handler to join their clients busy ‘Claims Team’. The role will see you dealing with every aspect of the insurance claim on your clients’ behalf. The role will require you to handle the relevant documentation, ensuring that the process runs smoothly by overseeing that the insurance company settles in the correct manner, and that your client receives their compensation as quickly as possible – handling the whole process: from first notice to final payment. You may also deal with commercial and business claims.
Your routine tasks are likely to include:
· Advising clients on insurance issues in general
· Liaising with the insured party to take full details of a claim
· Working with the relevant parties to ensure the claim is genuine
· Liaising with both brokers and underwriters
· Ensuring a fair settlement for the client in the event of a claim
The successful candidate will have an analytical mind and strong, confident negotiating skills. You must have the ability to work to tight deadlines and have the willingness to use your own initiative. The ability to work to tight deadlines is also required. Chartered Insurance Institute (CII) qualifications are desirable.
